Using The Law of Attraction to Deal with Negative People

With the Law of Attraction, you achieve total control of your life by focusing on the positive things that you want to attract.

To promote good thoughts and feelings in your life, it’s important to constantly surround yourself with positivity. There are many steps you can take to create a positive environment around yourself, from cleaning out your personal space, to vision boards that remind you of your desires.

However, one major challenge in adopting a more positive attitude is dealing with the negative people in your life.

When you are surrounded by angry, depressed, and critical people, who focus on everything that’s going wrong in their lives, it can be very difficult to remain happy and positive. And before long, you can easily find yourself feeling just as unhappy as them, and at the same time, your unhappiness will attract more negative people and events to you.

And before long, you become stuck in an endless cycle of negatvitiy.

What’s important to remember when dealing with negative people is that you are not in control of other people’s thoughts and feelings, but you are in total control of yours. Whether the negativity is coming from the workplace or at home, the following tools and techniques can help steer your mind in a positive direction.

Do Not Engage In Negativity

Just as positive thoughts attract more positive things, negativity only promotes more of itself.

It only takes one person to start complaining about their problems for everyone else to chime in and do the same. At the end of the day, your mind is filled with not only your own problems but also everyone else’s.

The next time one of your friends begin complaining about their job or spouse, do not engage by feeding into the negativity of their conversation. You can nod and listen as your friend is talking, but keep your answers short and avoid asking any questions to prolong the negative parts of the conversation.

When you get the opportunity, turn the conversation towards something positive, such as the delicious food you are eating, good news from a common friend, or a future event you are both looking forward to. Talk about of something that can cheer your friend up, making your conversation lighter and more pleasant.

By focusing your conversation on positive things, you not only keep yourself from entering a negative state of mind, but you also help your friend shift their energy, too.

Avoiding Toxicity

If your attempts at deflecting a toxic conversation is ineffective, try creating some space instead. There’s nothing wrong with creating a personal bubble of positivity and keeping the negative things out of your space.

For example, at parties or family gatherings, when conversations take a negative turn, excuse yourself politely and find more positive people to engage with. Seek out the people who are laughing and enjoying themselves, instead of those with frowns on their faces.

When tension is brewing between you and a colleague, friend, or family member, don’t hesitate to step back and walk away from the conversation.

Criticizing and shouting at each other will only breed more resentment between you and the other person, so wait for a better time to discuss your issues calmly. Instead of expressing anger, encourage a productive conversation where you can adopt a more positive outlook and seek solutions together.

Living With Negative People

Living with negative people is a bit trickier, but if it is a family member or a roommate who’s bringing negativity into your life, consider getting a place of your own. If moving out is not possible, then make sure that your room is a peaceful and positive space you can go to.

When working with the Law of Attraction, it’s important to be surrounded by people and things that make you feel positive thoughts, feelings, and beliefs.

By keeping yourself an arm’s length away from negativity, it will be easier to think positive thoughts, therefore attracting more positivity into your life.

Address the Negativity

The power of your mind can positively shape your life, and the more loving you are, the more you will attract love. So, approach others negativity with love and empathy.

Talk to them about the Law of Attraction and how the negativity of their thoughts, words, and emotions can be preventing them from attracting positivity in their lives. Perhaps no one has ever told them that they are spreading negativity, not only in their lives, but in the lives of the people around them.

By helping the people you care about understand the Law of Attraction, you are surrounding yourself with more positive companions, as well as helping them become happier people.

Positive Triggers That Make You Happy

One of the tools that you can use to remain positive every day is a positive trigger, which are words, songs, images, or even actions that remind you to focus on positive thoughts and the desires you want to manifest.

For example, you can listen to a song or read a quote that makes you feel calm and happy, helping you to slip into a more positive mindset by finding a quiet area to go to and use these positive triggers when you find yourself with negative thoughts and emotions.

Some people like to use words or  personal mantras to keep themselves focused on their desires throughout the day. Others prefer listening to music to encourage positive thoughts and feelings, while more visual people like to look at photos of adorable animals or beautiful landscapes to help them enter a state of mind that is calm, joyful, and positive.

There are also some people who discover closing their eyes, breathing, and counting to ten can do wonders with relaxing their mind and releasing any anegativity that may arise from being around unhappy people.

Whatever positive trigger you choose, you can redirect your thoughts towards the positive any time your friends and family are getting you down.

Work on Your Own Self-Confidence

Instead of focusing on other people, focus on yourself. When working with the Law of Attraction, it’s important to have a strong self-confidence and believe that you deserve and will receive all of your desires.

Negative and judgemental people can be very critical of others, so when you find yourself on the receiving end of harsh criticisms, don’t let it drag your thoughts in a negative direction. Instead, remind yourself not to take it as an insult but an opportunity to learn how to deal with it.

No one is perfect, but accepting your flaws and still maintaining a positive perspective on yourself and your life will ensure that good things will keep coming your way because the Law of Attraction is always at work.
