How Do I Change My Negative Mindset Into a Positive One?

A negative mindset is one of the most common obstacles to success when working with the Law of Attraction, which requires joyful and optimistic thinking to manifest good things.

As a human being, it’s normal to feel the occasional tug of sadness or fear, but cultivating and dwelling on these negative thoughts and feelings will keep your vibrations low and prevent you from attracting good things into your life.

Unfortunately, when you’re used to focusing on the bad things in life, it can be difficult to get yourself out of the negativity rut. As a result, you manifest negative things and experiences as well, which creates even more doubt and resentment in your mind. This is a vicious cycle that many struggle with as they begin to work with the Law of Attraction.

Here are several ways to change your negative way of thinking so you’re living with genuine positivity. When you are recognize, acknowledge, and let go of the anger, sadness, and fear, you can tap into the positive flow of the Law of Attraction to create a life of happiness and fulfillment.

The first step in avoiding negativity in your life is to identify the negativity when it’s creeping into your head.

Some people don’t realize that they are being negative, so they are unable to manifest their desires without understanding why. Be on the lookout for the thoughts, feelings, and actions, that frequently keep your spirits low, so you can stop yourself from dwelling on them.

Negativity can come in many forms, such as anxiety and worry over the future, or regret and shame over the things you’ve done in the past. It could come from low self-esteem or the stress and frustration over your current problems.

Ask yourself: Why do I feel bad? Am I angry or scared?

Once you’re attuned to your thoughts and feelings, you’ll know when it’s time to take the next steps in changing your negative mindset into a positive one, so you can attract what you want into your life.

Find A Release That Works For You

When you lock all of your negativity inside of yourself, you give these thoughts and feelings the power and space in your mind to grow and affect your vibrations.

Every day, you will wake up and go about your life with the anxiety or anger lurking inside of your head, letting it taint your positive interactions and experiences.

Finding an outlet for these negative emotions is essential in releasing them and accepting a more positive outlook.

One way to let go of the negativity is by writing down all your pent-up anger, fear, or pain in a journal, which is a process that can help you make sense of these thoughts and find a way to move on from whatever is keeping you in a negative mindset. Some people tear up or burn what they’ve written as soon as they’re done, as a physical representation of destroying and overcoming the negativity.

Physical expression doesn’t have to be in the form of a pen and paper either. If you’re more comfortable with expressing yourself in art, you could do the same with a sketch, painting, or a sculpture. Others are more at ease with verbal interactions, and instead, talk to therapists or good friends to release their bottled-up negativity.

Use Positive Affirmations Daily

Now, it’s time to be kind to yourself and build up your confidence using positive affirmations, which are statements you can use to boost your self-confidence and lift your spirits. If you don’t believe you deserve love or success, the universe will affirm your beliefs and keep those desires from you.

Find a statement that feels honest to you and your desires, like telling yourself, “I am worthy of happiness and my future is full of success and abundance.”

If the prospect of an abundant future feels much too foreign right now, you can take your affirmations and manifestations one step at a time. For example, if you want to find true and lasting love after a painful breakup, begin by reminding yourself of your worth, and expressing your desire to meet a new man or woman before manifesting wedding bells.

Repeat your personal affirmation regularly to empower yourself through its’ words. Every morning, take a minute or two in front of the mirror to tell yourself you deserve all of the good things you want to attract.

You could also use positive affirmations throughout the day, especially when you sense negative thoughts and feelings beginning to come your way.

A person with a negative mindset is accustomed to seeing the bad things in life, which keeps them in constant misery, even when good things happen to them.

Instead, train yourself to recognize the amazing things, people, and experiences, that are already around you.

Every day, find three things to be thankful for, such as a delicious meal, a text from a thoughtful friend, or even a new song you heard on the radio.

It’s simply a matter of perspective. Two people could have the exact same day with a negative person fretting over all the things that went wrong, and the positive person will be expressing gratitude for everything that went right.

Once you realize that you already have an abundance of good things in your life, it’s easier to be happier in the moment.

Find Inner Peace With Meditation

When you cultivate negative thoughts and feelings, your mind is always troubled and your heart full of turbulence.

Meditation allows you to find a deep peace within yourself and to create distance between you and the negativity that’s making you unhappy. When you’re meditating, your mind doesn’t wander to the painful past or the uncertain future, so you focus on the stillness and completeness of the moment instead.

The more frequently you practice meditation, the better your mind gets in letting go of stress, even in your daily life. Finding peace becomes easier each time you meditate, which fosters a lighter and more positive mindset.

Remember, with the Law of Attraction, the power is entirely in you and you’re the only one who can manifest the life you desire. Some things, like the past and other people, are out of your control, but your happiness is in your hands.
